Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This Refund and Cancellation Policy ("Policy") applies to all subscription plans and services offered by Gurukul ("we," "our," or "us"). This Policy is designed in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 of India.

By subscribing to our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this Policy. Please read this Policy carefully before making a purchase.

📢 Important Notice

We offer a 14-day free trial for all new users. We encourage you to fully evaluate our services during this trial period before committing to a paid subscription.

2. Free Trial Period

All new users are entitled to a 14-day free trial of our services. During the trial period:

  • You have access to all features of the selected plan.
  • No payment information is required to start the trial.
  • You may cancel at any time without any charges.
  • The trial automatically expires after 14 days if not converted to a paid subscription.

3. Subscription Cancellation

3.1 How to Cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time through:

  • Your account settings on our platform
  • Contacting our support team at contact@gurukulsync.in
  • Calling our support line at +91-7355236576

3.2 Effect of Cancellation

Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
  • You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods.
  • You will continue to have access to your data during the active subscription period.
  • After the subscription ends, your account will be converted to a free/limited access mode.

4. Refund Policy

4.1 Eligibility for Refund

Refunds are available under the following conditions:

8-15 days of purchase 75% refund Valid reason required
16-30 days of purchase 50% refund Technical issues or service failure only
After 30 days No refund Pro-rata credit may apply for annual plans

4.2 Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Custom development or integration services
  • Data migration services
  • Training and onboarding sessions already conducted
  • Add-on features purchased separately
  • Services utilized beyond the refund eligibility period

4.3 Annual Subscription Refunds

For annual subscriptions:

  • Refund requests within 7 days of purchase are eligible for a full refund.
  • After 7 days, refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis minus any discounts applied.
  • Pro-rata refunds will be calculated based on the remaining full months of the subscription.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Submit a Request: Email us at contact@gurukulsync.in with subject line "Refund Request - [Your Account ID]"
  2. Provide Details: Include your account information, subscription details, reason for refund, and purchase receipt/transaction ID.
  3. Wait for Review: Our team will review your request within 3-5 business days.
  4. Receive Confirmation: You will receive an email confirming the approval or rejection of your refund request.

6. Refund Processing

6.1 Processing Time

Once a refund is approved:

  • Refunds to credit/debit cards: 5-7 business days
  • Refunds to UPI: 3-5 business days
  • Refunds to Net Banking: 5-10 business days
  • Refunds to wallets: 1-3 business days

Please note that the actual credit to your account depends on your bank or payment provider.

6.2 Refund Method

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the purchase. If the original payment method is no longer available, we will work with you to find an alternative solution.

7. Disputes and Grievances

7.1 Grievance Redressal

If you are not satisfied with our refund decision, you may escalate the matter to our Grievance Officer:

  • Response Time: Within 48 hours of receiving the complaint

7.2 Consumer Rights

As per the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:

  • File a complaint with the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum if the transaction value is up to ₹1 crore.
  • File a complaint with the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission for transactions between ₹1 crore and ₹10 crore.
  • File a complaint with the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission for transactions exceeding ₹10 crore.
  • Alternatively, file a complaint through the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) at 1800-11-4000.

8. Service Downtime and Compensation

In case of extended service downtime (exceeding 24 consecutive hours) due to issues on our end:

  • We will provide service credit equivalent to the downtime period.
  • For critical outages affecting data integrity, additional compensation may be provided on a case-by-case basis.
  • Scheduled maintenance windows do not qualify for compensation.

9. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. We will notify existing subscribers of any material changes via email. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
